Silver-tongued characters can talk the enemy into joining your side, and eagle-eyed archers can deal more damage by shooting arrows at extreme range. You can unlock archmages that can unleash a variety of different elemental magic attacks, or artisans that can litter the battlefield with traps or even turrets. The bonus characters have weird abilities you won’t find anywhere else in the game. By building up your conviction, you can unlock bonus characters that slowly trickle into your faces as you progress through the story.
The more conviction you build up, the more you can convince your followers during the story’s major forks - and there’s another benefit. Almost everything you do in Triangle Strategy will increase your conviction in one of three categories: morality, utility, and freedom. When presented with two imperfect solutions, you’re forced to make your choice for the safety of your people in a time of great war.
Chapter 17: Serenoa's judgment and plans, select the following answers as they come up: There Must be Another Way, Greet Them with the Wolffort Demesne's Wildfire, Might Lord Svarog Be the Key, We Can Expose the Truth Hidden Within the Goddess's Statue, and They're of the Consortium.Triangle Strategy is a game about the choices we make. Persuasion is not needed as both Anna and Erador will switch to vote Morality. Chapter 15: Voting 1 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2, decide to return to Wolffort, a Morality choice. Present the Pink Rock to the elder in the next conversation to follow the golden path. When the elder leaves to speak to Frederica, go into the buildings and search the rug for a Pink Rock. Chapter 12: Exploration, speak to the elder inside the buildings, followed by Benedict, and last Frederica. Hughette is undecided, but defaults to Morality on a failed persuasion. Chapter 11: Voting 3 vs 3 vs 1, protect the Roselle despite Hyzante's wishes, a Morality choice.
Anna is the only one undecided, but will listen with very high Liberty Conviction.
Chapter 10: Voting 3 vs 3 vs 1, tell Svarog about Roland, a Liberty choice. If one lacks enough Utility, she can be convinced by gaining The Saintly Seven information from the soldier at the entrance. This is a Utility choice that requires persuading at least Anna. Chapter 9: Voting 3 vs 3 vs 1, agree to transport the illegal salt for House Ende. Or protect Roland (Morality, persuade Anna or anyone else), but refrain from using any fire traps during resulting battle against Aesfrosti forces. 1, either choose to surrender Roland outright (Utility, persuade Anna or anyone else).
But one will have an easier time making balanced choices from the start of the game. Key decisions start near the end of chapter 7 with a very important vote. To get on the golden path towards the real ending, players will need to make many choices throughout Triangle Strategy.
